I have a question, on the windows version of this software. Is the only option to burn it to a dvd even if most computers and laptops don't have a CD drive anymore.I don't even think they make them anymore. Is there a way to turn the VHS into regular .mp4 files and keep them on the computer? 

Well, this is a nice question. Actually, the VHS to DVD 4.0 can fulfil the mentioned feature. The recorded home video file is mpg format. This can be used and shared directly. The location depends on your settings before video recording. Hope this will be helpful to you.
